Adovo Pizza Catering
About Adovo
Adovo Pizza Catering has been delighting customers across Simcoe County, Muskoka and the Kawarthas for a few years now. Owner Adam and his team bring two industrial, wood-fired pizza ovens and prepare authentic neapolitan pizza on-site at a wide variety of events including weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, staff appreciation events and, delightfully, lunches for staff and residents of long term care homes.
When Adam came to us, he had a well-functioning Wordpress website, but wanted help communicating his business model to prospective clients. The concept of pizza catering can be challenging to explain and Adam was frustrated with calls for pizza delivery. Adam asked us to help improve the effectiveness of his messaging and expand his customer base. We were more than happy to help.
Adovo Pizza Catering - Branding Board
ELM Avenue’s Role
Our branding board captured the work Adam and his team had already completed including a great logo, an Italian-based colour scheme, fantastic fonts and images. Our objectives were to streamline the structure of the site, improve the messaging and extend their customer reach via social media.
Structure
We added a distinct footer with Adovo’s logo, contact information, a repeat of the main navigation and access to their new social media accounts. We added a secondary header above the main navigation repeating the contact information and social media links, making it extra easy for users to connect with Adam. Finally, we highlighted the “Book Now” buttons and made the font and colour scheme consistent through the site to reinforce the branding.
Messaging
We replaced the stock photos on the site with pictures of the Adovo team at events to communicate the “on-site” catering element. We edited all sections to clarify what Adovo offered customers. We added an short explanation with the Book Your Event section and introduced an accordion for ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ to help users zero-in on the answer to their question.
Social Media
We set the organization up on Meta, which includes Facebook and Instagram, and worked with Adam to create a series of posts designed to communicate the business premise, drive traffic to the website and reinforce the brand. We helped the team use social media to celebrate great customer feedback from recently catered events and we integrated the Instagram feed with the website so customers not on social media could also see what was new.
We continue to support Adovo Pizza Catering as they thrive online with periodic updates to their website and social media content creation.
